PARANOIABOOK

Paranoia Authors

Two minds, one universe. Meet the architects behind the warning about our future.

Jacqueline M.Q. y Ion Iacob - Autores de Paranoia

Jacqueline M.Q.

Co-author of Paranoia & Narrative Architect

Jacqueline M.Q. gives voice to the emotional and philosophical heart of Paranoia. Her writing turns a warning about the future into an intense human experience, where guilt, survival, ecological collapse, and the moral price of saving the planet become real conflict.

With a focus on psychology, dramatic tension, and social consciousness, she builds characters who do not just live the future: they suffer it, question it, and challenge it. Her contribution to Paranoia takes the reader from the fragility of the present to the extreme consequences of a possible tomorrow.

Ion Iacob

Co-author of Paranoia & Universe Architect

Ion Iacob builds the conceptual engineering of Paranoia: the logic of the system, the architecture of the future, and the coherence of a world pushed to the limit. His vision articulates technology, ecology, social control, and civilizational collapse within a narrative proposal as disturbing as it is plausible.

His contribution turns the universe of Paranoia into a living warning, where every structure, decision, and ethical tension questions the course of our species. From the idea to the mechanics of the world, his approach gives solidity to a story designed to discomfort, awaken, and endure.

Genesis of Paranoia

Jacqueline M.Q. and Ion Iacob

In April 2018, after watching Ready Player One in a cinema in Ukraine, we remembered a story we had started in 2016. Then we observed 21–24 year olds drinking uncontrollably, moving as if someone had induced their decisions from outside; it seemed to us that they lived in their own Paranoia. That day we understood that we wanted to write a novel about a simulation where Matrix was inverted: not waking up from the system, but accepting to enter it.

Génesis de Paranoia - 2016
2016, we ran home to write the first chapters

The central idea was provocative: what if we live in a simulation that we would accept because we believe it is impossible for it to become 100% real? What if, instead of being a virtual trick, Paranoia was actually a glimpse into the future? Would we accept, to save the planet, a change as radical as the one proposed in this first book?

We have lived with that question for ten years. In this time we have been collecting, drawing, developing, and above all living: a global pandemic, crossing to the Asian continent, seeing robots in action, volunteering for European "environmentalists" who arrived by car, writing for Silicon Valley CEOs and founders of bio projects. All of that stretched until it brought us to 2026, to the moment of finally writing the first part of Paranoia.

With this book we want to show an extreme that we do not want to reach, but which, given the rate at which we consume the planet, seems the only logical way out: the Filtrezas, the necessary "cleanings" to avoid polluting anymore. In the following volumes we will reveal what they really consist of; for now, stay with us and keep reading while human beings continue to steal resources from the Earth.
